It was really quick to build our house but the road to making it our own takes a bit more time & money, both of which are hard to find.
In the mean time at the end of each day it is nice to sit down to to this.......

some things money can't buy :)

It's Ours All Ours!!!

We have only recently got our Internet up and running again, Wow... you go offline for a while and look what happens. Wisdom has certainly been busy out there.

We are living our dream in our fabulous new Wisdom home. We absolutely love everything about it. During the building process we loved this & that but now we live in the house 24/7 we really appreciate those things even more as you have all the time in the world to take it in.

We can say Wisdom were flawless to the very end. We only had tiny issues that our S/S was breaking his back to rectify. Who ever said "building a house is stressful" has never built with Wisdom!

The stressful part is the LANDSCAPING!!!!! 4 different types of clay on our block is DAMN hard to dig!!! Country Ayre & Building with Wisdom Homes, as you will more than likely have the same dilemma I have a number for a good bobcat driver :)' it was the best money ever spent.

Gladly I can say there is light at the end of the tunnel but unfortunately I don't have pics to show you yet ... Soon I will show everybody what a bossy wife can get her husband to do all for love (grrrr).

Wisdom, Bringing Us Home (part 1)

Well, this is the most painful bit. The house is pretty much done internally. The only thing missing is carpets (which are to be done tomorrow Thu 13th). Externally, however we await the driveway and the Rain Water Tank supply & fit. Those two things are the only reason we can't cross the finish line ... %$#@. We are patient people but this is cruel... :(

Don't get me wrong, Wisdom have not palmed us off by any stretch of the word. Joe (S/S) has given a tenetive handover date for "Friday 28th August or sooner". Of course we opted for the sooner in his estimate (hehe). Joe is now feverishly trying to accelerate our driveway form & pour while the weather is nice and unfortunatley no matter how hard he tries it is still another 12 days until our tank comes. Both M & I know and appreciate everything Joe has done for us. We honestly believe there is not one thing he could of done better. He is a consumate professional and a genuine nice guy. As I have said to him, "you give Wisdom a good name".

Below are pics of our finished look. Any comments are welcome.

I know it is those bloody front doors again! Not too hard to guess, we "adores" them ;) . But now they have bling (shiny handles).

Look how good that looks? No..not in the mirror, the overall pic of the vanity (hehe).
The semi-frameless shower screens look really good (no need to upgrade to fully frameless).

A perfect sized bathroom! We are very happy with the overall look.

As promised, the benches have been unvieled and for the first time (as of today 12/8) "Our Splashbacks". Phantom, is such a versatile and appealing colour. It really contrasts the white surfaces we have chosen and gives great depth into our Kitchen. (Anita; Nice taste). I am sure you will see more kitchen pics as the appliances are installed (soon??).

pics: Worth a Mention
___
Left; is our Monsta WIP. Certainly enough space to store provisions to last you......forever! Right; is the outlook from Lesuire Room to our Dining Room. The stacker doors open out to our Outdoor Leisure which will soon be decked ( pics soon).

Till next week, Hope there are more things to show, thanks to Joe :)

Our Smiles Definetley Aren't Painted On

We are ecstatic, We have been really looking forward to see our Facade painted.... May I simply say WOW!!! (check pics out below)

Before:_____________________After:

I wonder how well the driveway will set off the pics (looking across the garages)
Can't wait to see in a week or 2 ....hehe...
The painters have blitzed it, all over in 2 days. With the sun streaming in through our windows the walls & ceiling are so fresh and clean and it looks amazing.
The cleaners come in tomorrow to whip around for a lot of dusting, vacuuming & mopping so I will post all the interior pics after that :)
It can't be much longer until we get a handover date as it's only little things here & there (not counting driveway) that need doing now.

Tile Wrap Up & Beyond

Well the weekend saw the end of the tiling. Our tiler has done an incredible job. It took him a little while, but he was solo and he was very meticulous (exactly what you want from a tiler).

Highlights for us are ;
1) The Floor tiles look amazing! Our tiler has only done 3mm spacing with natural grout and it looks fantastic. We really like the fact that it doesn't emphasise our grout lines considering our tiles are on the smaller size.

2) We are very happy with our Ensuite & Main Bathroom niches. We both chose not to put feature tiles in our niches (keep it simple, so to speak). To our suprise it seems that simple can bring on an appeal of its very own and our finished result, we feel is a nice feature.

3) Our Front Portico looks very inviting indeed. I am sure that it will really come of its own when the render is painted sometime soon??

The plumbers were there also doing there bit last week. We now have a lovely throne room fit for a King, Queen & two little princesses (he he).

This week the electricians will turn the light on at the end of the tunnel .. :)' .. (and at the moment it seems like a nice and warm light indeed). Then the painters will make their mark applying the final coats to all the walls, doors, windows & exterior.

.... We hope it flows on like that??
