We expected to see facia, gutters and maybe the roof to be just started (sarking & batons). It is an awesome feeling to look at your house with bricks and roof tiles. For me, it was a big moment to see whether the colour choices of your bricks, windows, facia, gutters and roof tile really look as good as you imagined they would. Thankfully, we are both thrilled with our choices of colours (thanks Anita, for helping us with that). We are really looking forward to seeing the facade complete with part render and fully rendered portico.
Even better still is the news that our S/S gave us. He has said that at the completion of the roof he would expect it to be sometime in August (all going well) when practically completed. To think that at the end of August/ start of September we will almost be ready to move into our dream home....is a very satisfying feeling indeed.

We look forward to bringing you pics of inside the house soon.
Yay!!! This is soo exciting for you :D. I actually went driving around the area the other day looking for 1sttimer's block and I stumbled across yours. Can I ask what colours have you picked? It looks like you have decided on pearl white aluminium (my favourite), is this true? I will definitely be following your blog. Keep the updates coming, they are great :D

Does 1sttimer have a blog? Did you find where he/she is building.
Ooh I thought that was gunmetal on the roof. We went and got the sample of that, and also charcoal, and slate grey - the one we chose...
ReplyDeleteI don't remember seeing the graphite bricks - but maybe that is because we mainly looked as austral - they look soo good and as you already know, pearl white aluminium is my favourite :D... Dune is nice too, 1sttimer has used dune also... Yeah, I found where they are building but they haven't started yet (like us) they are basically at the same stage. They do have a blog, it's www.buildingwithwisdomhomes.blogspot.com
I know that they are following your blog and would be happy to have a chat with you about your home.
