Now We're Cooking

It has been a couple of weeks since our last post but as it seems, just after you first begin internal work there is very little visual progress to report on. I mean white walls with white cornices and white doors look great to us but dull to the one's checking out our blog. Things have been happening here and there and now we can show everyone something interesting.

Introducing our next milestone. As of today we have Kitchen Cupboards, Vanities for main & ensuite and Laundry Cupboards :)) We are very happy with the layout of the kitchen and the colours of all the cupboards and vanities.

For those who know us, would say we are both tall (6'6 & 5'10....it isn't that tall? c'mon). In every house we have ever lived, we have had to be contempt with bench heights that "we" considered too low. When we sat down for our initial client variation requests, raised benches were one of the items at the top of the list. Now all our bench surfaces throughout the house are 1m. ....I'm in heaven... :))

Our main bathroom vanity has been custom built with 2 drawers and may I say, money well spent. I feel it is so much neater and practical to keep toiletries in a drawer rather than cupboards and since we have 2 daughters that will become teenagers in years to come, tidy & practical is a "Must!"

Other Wisdom Bloggers that have gone with this option, will probably agree that it was a must. M fought with me (nagged) to get this cupboard & bench top. Thats ok with me because she will be using it a lot more than me... ;))

Hopefully the visual progress will keep rolling on but it would seem that our express train has certainly slowed :( We hope next week our tilers will finish their last job & start ours? It will be very exciting to see our tile choices laid before our eyes.
